Objectives

A major operator deployed a Cement Support Tool (CST) in a 82° well @ 4,205 m to use it as a base for a kick-off plug.

 

Results

The well was filled with 13.5 ppg oil based mud and a 300 m balanced plug of 16.0 ppg cement was set above the CST. Top of cement was confirmed @ 3,910 m and the well was successfully kicked off.
